Madrevite - Futura - Trebbiano Spoletino - VSQ

This sparkling wine is made from Trebbiano Spoletino, from vineyards with a north/northeast exposition at about 280 meters above sea level. The vines are managed according to the guyot system with a density of 5,000 vines per hectare. Production focuses on freshness, precision and a pure expression of grape variety and origin. The harvest is done manually. Direct pressing is followed by natural static clarification at low temperature and fermentation at a controlled temperature of 16°C. The wine matures in stainless steel and undergoes a second fermentation in bottle in the spring using the ancestral method, with a minimum aging of six months and no dégorgement.

APPEARANCE: Light straw yellow.

SCENT: Aromas of white flesh with notes of yeast.

TASTE: Fresh and deep, with a creamy texture and a fine, persistent perlage.

PRODUCTION: Sparkling wine - VSQ Brut Nature (method ancestrale)
ALCOHOL: 11.5%
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 8-10 °C

Madrevite

“My pioneering experiments began in 2008.” Madrevite was founded in 2003, when Nicola began restoring the family business and decided to replant some of his grandfather Zino’s old vineyards, planted in 1978. That was the beginning of a new project. Nicola’s pioneering experiments began in 2008. He makes wines in purity to bring out all the intrinsic qualities of the grape variety and to create awareness of the complexity of the area that houses the grapes and in which everything comes together. My cultural roots are deeply embedded in the land: Nicola has always been a wine grower. My family’s wine tradition tells a timeless story of wisdom, fortitude, cooperation, rigor and trust (because the harvest does not always meet expectations and the farmer is well aware of this). He wanted to face the new millennium by adding a new chapter to this story and cherish the knowledge that has been passed down to him. We are farmers thanks to experience, dedication and a clear mission. Madrevite is a winery in the heart of Umbria, right on the border with Tuscany, on the western shore of Lake Trasimeno. This hilly area, stretching from Cortona to Chiusi, is characterized by a unique microclimate, influenced by the presence of three lakes: Trasimeno, Chiusi and Montepulciano. It’s perfect balance between a mild climate, mineral-rich soils and rolling hills create an ideal terroir for the production of authentic and high-quality Umbrian wines. Madrevite reinforces local wine traditions with sustainable growing methods and produces wines that reflect the identity of the area.
Umbria is a diverse Italian wine region in the heart of Italy, located between Tuscany, Lazio and Marche. This region is known for its pristine landscape, hilly vineyards and focus on indigenous grape varieties. Thanks to the continental climate with warm days and cool nights, winemakers here produce wines with depth, freshness and distinct character. The most famous wine from Umbria is undoubtedly Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG, made from the powerful Sagrantino grape. This wine is known for its intense aromas of dark fruits, spices and earthy notes, combined with firm tannins and excellent aging potential. In addition, Sangiovese plays an important role in accessible yet elegant red wines such as Montefalco Rosso. White wine lovers are also in their element in Umbria. Grechetto and Trebbiano Spoletino yield fresh, mineral and aromatic white wines, perfect with fish, vegetables and Italian cuisine. Whether you are looking for a powerful red wine or a fresh white Italian wine with character, Umbria offers authentic wines with a strong identity and a long tradition.
