Cantina Mezzanotte - Risveglio - Verdicchio - DOC - BIO

The Risveglio 2024 is made from 100% Verdicchio, a native grape variety of the Marche region and one of Italy's most representative white grape varieties. The grapes come from the municipalities of Ostra Vetere and Serra de' Conti, on medium-heavy soils with a clayey disposition, located at about 150 meters above sea level with southern and southwestern exposition. The vines, managed according to the double Guyot system and with an average age of 20-30 years, are harvested by hand in early September. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel at controlled temperature. The wine matures for about six months in steel and then at least three months in bottle, maintaining aromatic purity and freshness.

APPEARANCE: Straw yellow with greenish reflections, typical of a young Verdicchio.

SCENT: Fruity aromas of green apple, refined and with good intensity.

TASTE: Fresh and tight, with pronounced acidity and a pleasant saltiness that provides balance and persistence.

PRODUCTION: White wine - Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC
ALCOHOL: 12.0%
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 8-10 °C
Vinaro - winery Mazzanotte

A family-run winery in Marche – Ancona

Expression of terroir: Our mission is to produce wines that reflect the unique character of our grape varieties and of the Marche region, using healthy and sustainable agricultural practices. This is why we pride ourselves on working with indigenous varieties such as Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi and Lacrima di Morro d’Alba. The sandy and clayey soils typical of the area, combined with the region’s climate, enhance their qualities and result in wines with a distinctive aromatic profile. Tradition and innovation: Since 1925, the Mezzanotte family has worked the land in the hinterland of Senigallia with passion and respect, upholding the winemaking traditions of the region. However, creating exceptional wines also requires mastery of innovation. Therefore, in our winery we integrate the latest agronomic techniques to practice healthy precision agriculture that respects both the environment and people. In addition to cultivating our historic grape varieties, we continue to explore new varieties and innovative production methods. Sustainability and the future: For us, sustainability is not a trend, but a firm commitment to environmentally conscious agricultural practices aimed at producing high-quality wines. All our wines are certified organic, proof of a production process that respects nature and delivers a healthy, authentic product. But even before certification, our guiding principle was always a deep passion for the land and respect for everything it gives us. We look to the future with that same passion, constantly striving to improve and putting our hearts into every bottle.
If you love authentic, versatile and characterful Italian wines, the Marche should definitely not be missed. This refined wine region on Italy’s Adriatic coast – sandwiched between Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, Umbria and Abruzzo – is known for its rolling hills, chalky soils and centuries-old wine tradition. Thanks to the combination of cooling sea breezes, sunny slopes and differences in altitude between coast and inland, winemakers in the Marche produce wines with distinct freshness, elegance and balance. The terroir lends itself perfectly to both white and red wines with a distinct origin expression. The absolute pride of the region is the Verdicchio, one of Italy’s most prized white grapes. In particular, the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi and Verdicchio di Matelica are known for their fresh acidity, mineral structure and great aging potential, with aromas of citrus, almond and white flowers. In addition, the Marche is home to characterful red grapes such as Montepulciano, Sangiovese and Lacrima di Morro d’Alba, which make for elegant, aromatic and spicy red wines. Whether you like fresh, mineral white wines, elegant red varieties or authentic wines made from indigenous grapes – in the Marche you will discover hidden gems with a unique identity and a perfect balance between sea, hills and tradition. Discover our range of wines from the Marches and taste the pure elegance of central Italy. From a refined Verdicchio to an aromatic Lacrima – with us you will find the perfect wine for every occasion.
