Russiàn - Collio - Chardonnay - DOC

The Chardonnay 2024 - Collio DOC is produced in the Collio area on soils of flysch (marl and sandstone of eocene origin), typical of the region and determining finesse and minerality. The vineyards are managed according to the doppio capovolto system, with limited yields of about 5,000 kg of grapes per hectare, and managed according to principles of integrated crop protection. Harvesting is done manually in the third decade of September. Fermentation starts in stainless steel tanks and then continues in French oak barrels, where the wine is subjected to daily bâtonnage, which contributes to additional structure, complexity and roundness. The wine has an aging potential of 4 to 6 years.

APPEARANCE: Straw yellow with greenish reflections.

SCENT: Balanced and refined, with fruity and exotic notes and a hint of fresh flowers.

TASTE: Pure, full-bodied and harmonious, with good structure and integrated freshness.

PRODUCTION: White wine - Collio DOC
ALCOHOL: 12%
SERVE TEMPERATURE: 12 °C

Russiàn – On the peaks of the hills of Cormons

Near the evocative Plessiva Park, the Russian family passes on its knowledge and know-how from grandparents Stanko and Maria, through Aldo and Vida, to Sabina and Denis today. They work their vineyards with experience and technique.A wine experience for everyone who wants to enjoy the panorama of the famous Collio Goriziano, while enjoying a good glass of wine and local dishes, with the possibility of staying overnight in the rooms of our agriturismo. A land where the harmony between the hills and the vineyards has something fascinating. If we dig beneath the visible, we find the “ponca,” a type of soil characterized by the stratification of marl and sandstone, which produces its unique, incomparable, exceptional, precious and exclusive golden berry. The Russian winery takes advantage of the knowledge of the area passed down from generation to generation. This fundamental factor, combined with our technical expertise, allows us to see the vineyard not only as a workplace, but also as a life experience
Friuli Venezia Giulia is a sophisticated and highly regarded wine region in the extreme northeast of Italy, bordering Austria and Slovenia. Its location between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea creates a unique microclimate with cool mountain influences and warm sea air. Combined with mineral-rich soils, this produces wines with exceptional freshness, elegance and aromatic precision. The region is internationally known for its top-class white wines, which are among the best in Italy. Grape varieties such as Friulano, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Ribolla Gialla and Malvasia Istriana produce expressive, mineral and refined wines with a distinct terroir expression. These wines are perfectly balanced, gourmet and loved for their purity and complexity. When it comes to red wine, Friuli Venezia Giulia also has much to offer, albeit in a more elegant style. Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, Schioppettino and Pignolo deliver characterful red wines with spiciness, fresh acidity and structure, while international grapes such as Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are remarkably refined here. Whether you are looking for an aromatic white wine of excellence or an elegant red wine with finesse: Friuli Venezia Giulia stands for precision, terroir and quality without compromise. Browse our range of Friuli Venezia Giulia wines and discover the pure, refined taste of northeastern Italy.
