Bergmannhof – Hoamet – Vernatsch – IGP – BIO<\/h1>\nThe Mitterberg IGP Vernatsch\/Schiava Hoamet 2022 is made from 100% Schiava (Vernatsch), a native Alto Adige grape variety grown in the vineyards of Bergmannhof in Sankt Pauls\/Appiano. The vines grow on gravelly, clay and limestone soils, with zones particularly rich in stones, which provides good drainage and contributes to the finesse of the wine. \n\nThe vineyards are managed according to the Guyot system and the vines, with an average age of about 20 years, produce a yield of about 60 hl per hectare. Harvesting is done manually between mid and late September, with careful selection of the grapes. \n\nVinification is via spontaneous maceration with partially whole grape bunches in open tonneaux. This is followed by malolactic fermentation and aging for about 18 months on fine lie in oak tonneaux. The wine is bottled in April 2024 without clarification or filtration to preserve the authenticity and complexity of the wine.

\nAPPEARANCE: Bright ruby red.

\nSCENT: Elegant bouquet with aromas of ripe cherries, small red fruits and slight spicy nuances.

\nTASTE: Harmonious and elegant, with fine tannins and a pleasant freshness that provides balance and depth on the finish.
