My name is Gianluca Campanale.
After several professional experiences in different fields, I felt the need to get back to what really mattered. That moment came during an RV trip through Italy. A slow journey, on back roads, through diverse landscapes and with sincere encounters. Winery after winery, vineyard after vineyard, a clear decision formed: turn this passion into a concrete project.
In that journey, Vinaro was born.
Each wine in the project is the result of direct, personal meetings. I met each producer personally, walked through their vineyards, visited their cellars and followed their work from vine to production. No distant selections, no catalogs: each wine was discovered, tasted and understood on the spot, one by one.
I believe in wines that tell the story of their land and of the people who live it every day. Wines shaped by choices, seasons, risks and identity. This is why I work primarily with authentic producers, often small-scale, where the winemaker is personally involved and the work retains a human dimension.
Vinaro was born this way: from time dedicated, from listening, and from respect for those who truly make wine.
My role is to bring these stories into the glasses of restaurants, wine bars and professionals who are looking for wines with a soul, not just a label.

In 2003, I completed my training in Enology and Vineyard Management at the Basile Caramia Institute. Over the years I complemented my technical training with a second level Sommelier course and the ONAV tasting course, tools that helped me refine my taste and especially my ability to listen to wine.
