Cantina Mezzanotte - Incanto - Lacrima di Morro d'Alba - IGT - BIO
The Incanto 2024 is made from 100% Lacrima di Morro d'Alba, a native grape variety of the Marche region, originating from the area around Morro d'Alba and documented since the Middle Ages. The name "Lacrima" refers to the characteristic drop of juice that is released from the grape when fully ripe. The vineyards are located between Ostra and Senigallia on sandy soils with clay influence, at about 100 meters above sea level, with northeast exposition. The vines, with an average age of 15-20 years, are harvested by hand in early September. Vinification includes a short skin soak followed by fermentation in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts. The wine matures for about six months in steel and then at least three months in bottle, maintaining aromatic freshness and drinkability.APPEARANCE: Ruby red with violet reflections, particularly vibrant in the young version.
SCENT: Pronounced aromatic, with floral notes of rose and violets.
TASTE: Dry and supple, with very soft and almost imperceptible tannins. Fresh and lively, with good structure and lingering finish.
PRODUCTION: Red wine - Lacrima di Morro d'Alba DOC
ALCOHOL: 12.50%
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 12-14 °C
A family-run winery in Marche – Ancona
Expression of terroir: Our mission is to produce wines that reflect the unique character of our grape varieties and of the Marche region, using healthy and sustainable agricultural practices. This is why we pride ourselves on working with indigenous varieties such as Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi and Lacrima di Morro d’Alba. The sandy and clayey soils typical of the area, combined with the region’s climate, enhance their qualities and result in wines with a distinctive aromatic profile. Tradition and innovation: Since 1925, the Mezzanotte family has worked the land in the hinterland of Senigallia with passion and respect, upholding the winemaking traditions of the region. However, creating exceptional wines also requires mastery of innovation. Therefore, in our winery we integrate the latest agronomic techniques to practice healthy precision agriculture that respects both the environment and people. In addition to cultivating our historic grape varieties, we continue to explore new varieties and innovative production methods.
