Cantina Mezzanotte - Vigoria - Incrocio Bruni 54 - IGT - BIO
The Vigoria 2024 is made from 100% Incrocio Bruni 54, a typical grape variety from the Marche region, developed in the 1930s by the ampelographer Bruno Bruni through a cross between Verdicchio and Sauvignon Blanc. It is a characterful variety that Cantina Mezzanotte has revived and carefully interpreted with a focus on aromatic finesse and structure. The vineyard is located in Senigallia, on sandy soils with clay influences, about 100 meters above sea level with northeast exposure. The vines, managed according to the simple Guyot system and with an average age of 15 years, are harvested by hand in late August, with limited yields of 6,000-7,000 kg of grapes per hectare. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel. The wine matures for about six months on fine lie and then at least three months in bottle, maintaining freshness and aromatic integrity.APPEARANCE: Yellow with greenish reflections, evolving to golden yellow with aging.
SCENT: Spicy and balsamic aromas, with notes of sage and elderflower, complemented by mineral nuances.
TASTE: Fresh and lively, with nice acidity and citrusy notes of lemon peel. The typical saltiness of the region provides balance and a slightly pleasant bitterness in the finish.
PRODUCTION: White wine - Incrocio Bruni 54 Marche Bianco IGT
ALCOHOL: 13.0%
SERVE TEMPERATURE: 8-10 °C
A family-run winery in Marche – Ancona
Expression of terroir: Our mission is to produce wines that reflect the unique character of our grape varieties and of the Marche region, using healthy and sustainable agricultural practices. This is why we pride ourselves on working with indigenous varieties such as Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi and Lacrima di Morro d’Alba. The sandy and clayey soils typical of the area, combined with the region’s climate, enhance their qualities and result in wines with a distinctive aromatic profile. Tradition and innovation: Since 1925, the Mezzanotte family has worked the land in the hinterland of Senigallia with passion and respect, upholding the winemaking traditions of the region. However, creating exceptional wines also requires mastery of innovation. Therefore, in our winery we integrate the latest agronomic techniques to practice healthy precision agriculture that respects both the environment and people. In addition to cultivating our historic grape varieties, we continue to explore new varieties and innovative production methods.
