Pozzobon - 58 Bianco Veneto - Blend - IGT
The 58 Bianco 2024 - Bianco Veneto IGT is made from 90% Johanniter (PIWI grape, fungus-resistant variety) and 10% Chardonnay. Johanniter is a resistant grape variety that allows more sustainable viticulture thanks to its natural resistance to the main fungal diseases, while maintaining freshness and aromatic precision. The grapes are sourced from vineyards in Volpago del Montello (TV), at about 100 meters above sea level, on alluvial, gravelly soils with a shallow subsoil rich in minerals and organic matter. The vines are managed according to the Doppio Capovolto system, with yields of about 110 hl per hectare. The harvest is done manually with selection of the grape bunches. Vinification takes place according to the white wine method, with gentle pressing and fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. The wine then matures for about two months in bottle before commercial release.EXPERIENCE: Golden Yellow.
SCENT: Intense, with aromas of quince, pear, tangerine, ripe yellow fruit and date.
TASTE: Soft and well-structured, with nice breadth and lingering finish.
PRODUCTION: White wine - Bianco Veneto IGT
ALCOHOL: 13.5%
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 6-8 °C
POZZOBON
Commendator Pozzobon Rosalio The Pozzobon farm and winery originated around 1700 as a settlement of farmers directly dependent on the noble Caotorta family on the Paolini estate in the countryside of Volpago del Montello, in the Belvedere area. This company has always grown vines to supply wine to the same noble family. In 1969, Countess Matilde Ponti, heiress of the noble Antifone Caotorta family, sold a significant portion of the Paolini estate to the current commendator Pozzobon, who has been producing and selling his own wines ever since. To protect consumer health and preserve the environment, integrated crop protection is applied, with technical guidance from Cecat in Castelfranco Veneto.
